Using Figurative Language Room Essay

Rewrite the following sentences using a metaphor, simile, and personification. Metaphor: I have piles of clothes stacked up so high it's hard to find my bed.

Example My clothes hamper is a huge, blue monster spewing clothes all over the floor.

Simile: I have a bad habit of stuffing my clothes in a drawer. Practice Simile: I have a bad habit of stuffing my clothes in a drawer.

Example My dresser drawer, stuffed with clothes, looks like a dam that is ready to break.

Practice Personification: I may have last night's ice cream bowl still in my room along with last week's Coke can.

Example Last night’s dirty, ice cream bowl mingles on my desk with last week’s empty coke can.
