IntroductionIntroduction Process Task1 Task2 Task3 Resources EvaluationProcessTask1Task2Task3ResourcesEvaluationINTRODUCTION The recently opened state-of-the-art Newport Wetlands Environmental Education and Visitor Centre will enable more people to enjoy the natural wonders of Newport, only a short distance from Newport city centre. Today you will undertake some activities that will show you what the Newport Wetlands can offer you when you visit and help you understand the importance of the work taking place there

Process IntroductionIntroduction Process Task1 Task2 Task3 Resources EvaluationProcessTask1Task2Task3ResourcesEvaluation The time you have is short, you need to work in groups of four and share out the tasks. Individually you will not have time to complete the webquest in the time available. Pick “horses for courses” to ensure the work is done and done well. Keep reporting back to your team members to let them know how the work is progressing.

Task 1 IntroductionIntroduction Process Task1 Task2 Task3 Resources EvaluationProcessTask1Task2Task3ResourcesEvaluation Look at the recent bird sightings. Choose two birds that visit only in the winter and do some research on them. Present your findings in an interesting way to share that information with friends Remember to include a map to show where the birds have arrived from.

Task 2 IntroductionIntroduction Process Task1 Task2 Task3 Resources EvaluationProcessTask1Task2Task3ResourcesEvaluation The wetlands are important for other animals other than birds. Find out what you can about one of them. Design a poster to raise awareness about your chosen creature.
