Cybersecurity VIA Program Partnership between OCE, PROMPT and NSERC $3 million program, supporting awards for ~5 projects for up to two years Objectives: Develop and accelerate solutions to advance the cybersecurity sector, and address Canada’s cybersecurity strategy Support industry-academic collaborations between Ontario and Quebec, to develop innovative technologies Create economic benefit (jobs, revenue) in both provinces Partnership between OCE, PROMPT and NSERC $3 million program, supporting awards for ~5 projects for up to two years Objectives: Develop and accelerate solutions to advance the cybersecurity sector, and address Canada’s cybersecurity strategy Support industry-academic collaborations between Ontario and Quebec, to develop innovative technologies Create economic benefit (jobs, revenue) in both provinces

Project Eligibility Involve R&D in the Information and Communications Technologies sector, and demonstrate benefit to cybersecurity industry One academic researcher in Ontario, and one in Quebec Industry partners in both provinces providing matching funds One company in Ontario Two companies in Quebec Partners have capability to commercialize results (R&D/manufacturing presence; minimum 2 employees/2 years in operation) NSERC CRD/ARD eligible Involve R&D in the Information and Communications Technologies sector, and demonstrate benefit to cybersecurity industry One academic researcher in Ontario, and one in Quebec Industry partners in both provinces providing matching funds One company in Ontario Two companies in Quebec Partners have capability to commercialize results (R&D/manufacturing presence; minimum 2 employees/2 years in operation) NSERC CRD/ARD eligible

Application Process: Overview Two-stage application process: 1.Submit Expression of Interest Proposal (EOI) to OCE and PROMPT 2.Successful EOI Applicants (approximately 5) will be invited to submit a full application to NSERC CRD or ARD program

Application Process: Stage 1 Stage 1: Expression of Interest (EOI) Eligible applicants submit EOI using the OCE on-line application system Complete submission includes: o EOI questions - downloaded from the OCE website (4-5 pages) o On-line application components (budget, milestones, project contacts, classifications, summary for public release) o Form 100/CV of applicant(s), industry support letter Contact either an OCE BD or Application Support Team, or PROMPT, to ensure you have a user name / password and have initiated an application a minimum of 1 week before deadline.
