My experiences/background This will be my 10 th year teaching kindergarten I am a huge sports fan, I love all the hometown teams, especially the Washington Nationals and the Washington Redskins! I grew up in Woodbridge. I attended Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia and I am currently attending George Mason University for my Masters in Education Leadership. Get to Know Me

PALS Testing We will be doing PALS testing for all students during the week of October 19 th Please make sure your child is at school on time each day PALS testing is for rhyming recognition, letter sounds, reading, and sight word recognition. Students who do not meet the benchmark will receive PALS tutoring at school You will receive information on whether your child passed or failed during your November conference.

Independence Another goal we are striving for is to become more independent At home, please encourage (and help) your child to become more independent by: Zipping/buttoning their jackets and pants Tying their shoes Getting their backpacks/school materials together each morning
