Conference Week August 27th through September 3rd are Goal Setting Conferences. This conference DOES include your child. At this conference we will discuss your child's strengths and areas of focus to help your child have a successful school year. Complete the Goal Setting Conference form by August 20th. This is an all day conference day for teachers and parents. How Can I Help My Child Succeed in School? 1. Read TO and WITH your child every night! 2. Help your child with his/her homework every night. 3. Only talk positively about your child’s teachers and school. 4. Make sure your child is getting plenty of sleep and is ready for school each day. For example, have your child set a study area for independent homework time. Encourage them to pack their backpacks the night before. The morning can be so busy and rushed to begin with. 5. Teach your child to be responsible for their actions and their school work. 6. Stay involved and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. 7. Ask your child about school everyday and encourage them to discuss the day.
