T T H H I I Tennessee Health Indicators FoodNet Program Mission – FoodNet is a collaborative effort among: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 10 state health departments Academic institutions U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) – The program’s primary mission is to conduct population-based active surveillance of select laboratory confirmed pathogens commonly transmitted though food.
