Philippines Culture BY: JAMES ESAW

Jeepneys Jeepneys are the transportation in the Philippines. They are buses with bench seating. They are built on the frames of old U.S. military jeeps. They travel on fixed routes. They stop when they are waved at from the sidewalks. Jeepneys are decorated. It has family and religious symbolism.

Filipino Food Fish, shrimp, jack fruit, and pancit are dishes enjoyed in the Philippines. Music and singing contributes to the atmosphere of family gatherings.
