What does blood do? 1) Moves food, water, oxygen and waste 2) Attack invaders 3) Covers wounds to allow us to heal 4) Helps regulates temperature

Four components of blood Plasma Red Blood Cells Platelets White blood cells

#1 : Plasma 50% of all blood is plasma A fluid that holds the other three parts of blood

#2 : Red Blood Cells Carries food, water, & oxygen to the cells. Carries waste from the cell.

#3 : Platelets Seals an injury so it can heal Scabs

#4 : White blood cells Eats invaders

What organ system works with the circulatory system to get oxygen to the body ? The Respiratory system

Three parts of the Respiratory system system Nose & Mouth ThroatLungs

#1 : Mouth & Nose Bring the air to the throat. Obvious, I know.

#2 : Throat Brings the air from the mouth/nose to the lungs. Has three parts

A : Pharynx This is the top of the throat.

B : Larynx This is where the vocal cords are. The area that we use to make sounds.

C : Trachea This is the wind pipe. Allows air to go to the lungs (not water or food) It has a valve

#3 : lungs Blood exchanges the oxygen & carbon dioxide. Has three parts

A : Bronchi Two tubes that connect the Trachea to the lungs

B : Alveoli Small sacs where the blood exchanges oxygen & carbon Dioxide

C : Diaphragm A muscle that pulls air in and pushes air out
