Red Ribbon Week Presented by Club Live 1

Red Ribbon Week The Red Ribbon Campaign® is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week®, October 23-October 31 each year. It began in

Our main focus is promoting healthy lifestyles free of alcohol, tobacco, or other substance abuse among youth. We also focus on traffic safety and underage gambling prevention. 3

Alcohol Statistics Nearly 88,000 people (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women) die from alcohol related causes annually, making it the third leading preventable cause of death in the United States. Each day, 300,000 people drink and drive. In 2012, 239 child passengers (under age 15) were killed in drunk driving crashes – representing 20 percent of all child traffic fatalities. Of those, more than half (52 percent) were passengers in a vehicle with the drunk driver. Every day in America, another 28 people die as a result of drunk driving crashes. 4

Before and After drugs The effects of drugs can always be different. They change the chemistry of your body. They can change your life forever. Drugs can ruin your life and your can ruin your relationships. An addiction can start just by one try. Many celebrities made the choice to do drugs and they soon got addicted, just like Lindsay Lohan. That’s why its better to not do them at all. 5

This skit is about the devastating effects of drunk driving. Christian is playing the part of a counselor ---Dr. Aguilar Skit 6
