Experience Graduate of Marion High School Graduate of Indiana University - Bloomington— B.S. in Physical Education and Health and a minor in General Science Graduate of Indiana State University – Terre Haute— M.S. Science Education Taught all grade levels in Science, Health, and Physical Education at Doe Creek Middle School since Married to Tonya. Have 1 son; Cory (28) and 1 daughter; Kinzie (23)

Major Topics of 7th Grade Science Life Science— Cell Processes and Organelles, Body Systems Earth Science—Geologic Time, Rocks, Minerals, Plate Tectonics, Soil, Geologic Features, and Fossils Physical Science— Energy (Light and Sound), Forces, Motion

Class Materials  Each day, students should have:  Computer – Macbook charged  Binder/Folder  Paper (Composition Notebook)  Writing instrument  Other supplies are requested on occasion  Canvas will be the Classroom Management System.

Highlight of class policies Absent students can find their work by communicating with me upon their return or check the class website. (Canvas) Students get 1 day for every day absent to make up assignments.

Labs & Outdoor Lab Activities Each quarter, students are assigned a lab group. Each group consists of 3-4 students. Students are expected to cooperate with their lab partners and follow all safety rules. Students not meeting these expectations could face disciplinary action, possibly receive 0% credit on a lab, and possibly lose lab & outdoor privileges.

How to succeed in Science Come prepared with a positive attitude Read/Follow all directions and rubrics Complete all homework and class assignments Complete study guides and participate cooperatively in other classroom activities Study for quizzes and tests – these are announced many days in advance
