Mala Fatra mountains is situated in the north of Slovakia in Zilina discrict. It is the fourth highest mountain in Slovakia. Mala Fatra National Park occupies an important part of the mountains. There is a small village – TERCHOVÁ, where lived our national hero – Juraj Jánošík.

Some numbers about national park... There are 1141 species of plants and flowers. The lenght of the mountain range is about 26 km. The highest peak is Large Fatra Krivan (1709 m) Forests cover more than 70% of the total area. National Park area is 22,630 ha.

Do you want to go there with us? Letś go! This national park is very beautiful, but dangerous, too. There are many ledders and footbridges over the brook. We are afraid about it, but we want to see some new place in our country. You can inspirate with these photos:

 We are having a rest. We are eating something. And we are discusing about the next part of our trail. The sun is shining. It´s a beautiful day.

 Martina has fallen down into the stream. You can see, that her trousers are wet. But, she keeps smiling.

There are many beautiful species of flora, for example these species, that you can see above this text : Lilium martagon, Crocus discolor and Anemone narcissiflora.
