Mission Khodad Narayangaon Road - Highlights  Unresolved issue of proper Road to common man for last 50 yrs.  Successfully organised “Rasta Roko” in Nov to express common man feelings.  Involvement of Qualified Team to support common man need.  Common meeting with EE of ZP, Pune and Tehsildar, Junnar in Dec and assurance of a Single road within 1 year.  Wrong tenders were published and rectified. Mess between PWD and ZP management.

Mission Khodad Narayangaon Road - Highlights  ZP released tender to M/s. Indrayani Constructions in Feb.’07 and work did not start till Sept  Final notice 3(c) for termination of work issued to M/s. Indrayani constructions in Oct  Poor quality of road material got replaced.  With Lot of fight, struggle and Political influence helped Indrayani Con. to get notice cancelled & start the work.

Mission Khodad Narayangaon Road - Highlights  New EE M. Ghudsurkar assured to get the work done within time in Nov  Work till BBM completed till Mar  Contractor demanded for money and got Rs. 19 lacs( It is begin question why funds were released?)  Work on hold after BBM and contractor did not responded till Aug and finally contract got terminated.

Mission Khodad Narayangaon Road - Highlights  Consistent follow up with Mr. Valse Patil, Mr. Bankar, Acting CEO,ZP, EE, ZP Construction (North), Pune and other staff.  PWD : 2.8 km and 1 km – completed till BBM. Poor quality of BBM for 1 km and part payment released. On Hold due to no funds.  Termination of contractor and new tender took long time of 6 months. Good support received from Shyam Wardhane, CEO Pune

Mission Khodad Narayangaon Road - Lesson Learnt  Wrong Selection of contractor.  Poor quality of Supervision and monitoring.  Non professional, Adamant and poor mentality of Rod contractor.  Managed to get payments and bluffed ZP.  Delay of 2 yrs. for the road in spite of availability of funds.  Lack of Review Mechanism.

Mission Khodad Narayangaon Road - Going forward …….  Proper selection of contractor.  Immediate start of work.  Strict supervision and Quality Management  Periodic Review on every month on 1 st Saturday of every month.  In process Inspection by Quality Control Dept. as well as Private committee.  Release of Payment after getting letter from Grampanchayat Hivre and Khodad.

Mission Khodad Narayangaon Road - Expected Results :  Quality construction.  Time bound action plan  Value for Money.  Long life of road.  Mental Peace  Customer Satisfaction and fulfillment of common man needs.
