IMPORTANT INFORMATION How to contact me –Cell Number- (979) –Classroom number E205 – - **** Every Wednesday morning 7:30-8:30) I offer Record book tutorials in my classroom***** –You will be required to keep records off all of your activity with your project –On weigh days you need to let me know the weight of your pig

PIG FEEDING You will need to feed twice a day! We will establish a feeding train for morning feedings

WHAT DO I NEED? Feed Feed scoop (comes with feed) Whip Brush to clean animal Clips for feeder ALL of these items can be found at local feed stores or Tractor Supply

PIG CARE WASH ONCE A WEEK (not on cold windy days) NEVER GET WATER IN EARS ! USE A SHOW PIG SOAP OR SHAMPOO AT THE END WASH EVERY 2-3 DAYS USE A GROOMING PRODUCT (CHAMPIONS CHOICE)

PHASE 1 50#’S OR LESS OR REALLY GREEN 21.5% CP 6.5% FAT OVER 50#’S 20% CP 5.5% FAT LINCOMYCIN IN THE FEED; GOOD FOR JOINT PROBLEMS AND RESPRITORY.

PHASE 1 CONT. If the pig has –Desired muscle feed 18% cp 3.5% fat. –Above avg. muscle feed 16% cp 4% fat. –Heavy muscle feed 14.5% cp 6% fat. –4-6LBS. A DAY

PHASE 2 LIMIT FEED IF NECESSARY 6LBS. A DAY THEN ADJUST MIN OF WORK A DAY TRAIN FOR SHOWMANSHIP USE HAIR AND SKIN PRODUCTS

PHASE 3 CONTINUE FEED MAKE WEIGH DAYS ADD SUPPLIMENTS AS NEEDED DECIDE ON PAYLEAN DAYS PRIOR TO THE SHOW DATE
