State Standard 3.7(B) – Determine the perimeter of a polygon or a missing length when given perimeter and remaining side lengths in problems.

The formula for figuring out the perimeter of a regular 2 dimensional figure (polygon) is 2Length + 2Width = Perimeter or 2L + 2W = P ( 2x6) + (2x3) = 18 ft or = 18 ft

To find the perimeter of an irregular 2 dimensional figure (polygon) just add up all the sides.

When information is missing, use the information that is given to find the missing part, then add up all the sides. Problem: Find the perimeter of the figure below. Answer
