Why Study Music?  Music makes a valuable contribution to your general education.  Studying music contributes to your personal development by providing you with the opportunity to develop interests that will enhance your quality of life.  Music allows you to develop the skills and knowledge required if you wish to proceed to further study and/or follow a career in, or related to, music.

The aims of Standard Grade Music:  Give everyone an opportunity to study music as part of a general education, and develop areas of personal interest.  Provide opportunities to develop musical skills in performing, listening and inventing.  Provide a basis for those who want to follow a career in, or related to, music.

Standard Grade Music is offered at three levels:  Foundation  General  Credit

Standard Grade Music involves a study of four musical elements: 11 st Study - Solo Performing 22 nd Study - Performing LListening IInventing
