Computer types These are two common types of computers. KEYBOARD TYPES

Tab key When typing in a document, the tab key _______ the cursor. You indent each paragraph you type. When typing in a spreadsheet, such as excel, the tab key moves your cursor to the next ____ to the right. When filling out a web form, the tab key moves your cursor to the next _____

Control key Ctrl is short for _______. There are two control keys, one on each side of the space bar. The Ctrl key can be used to create many shortcuts when you hold it down at the same time you press other keys. Caps Lock When you press the Caps Lock key, you EVERYTHING WILL BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. When you press the caps lock key, there is a light on the right side of the keyboard that lights up that lets you know your caps lock is on.

Don’t be that person. Using caps lock all the time is unprofessional and makes you come off as ___________

Shift key If you hold down shift while pressing a letter, it makes a _______ letter. If Caps Lock is on and you hold down shift while pressing a letter, it makes a _________ letter. If you hold down the shift key while pressing a number, it makes a symbol. There are two shift keys, one on each side of the keyboard.

Lets talk about mice

The Recycle bin The recycle bin is an icon. If you delete an item, it is moved to the Recycle Bin. To move an item to the Recycle Bin, right click the item then click delete, Or, drag and drop an item there. When you right click a file in the Recycle Bin and click restore, the file is restored to its original location, like this: Or, drag an item out of the trash and drag it somewhere else

Customizing your mouse If you are_left handed, you can change how your mouse works and switch the right and left click buttons. You can also change the speed at which you double click You can do this by going to:  Start menu  Control Panel  Mouse properties
