How to Draw a Ship Ship Drawing 101 with Mr. Warren Tips and pictures obtained from http://www.yedraw.com/how-to-draw-ship.html#.Vu9Xwmf2aUk

Step 1 Draw the ship’s deck.

Step 2 Now draw the sailboat's masts. To do this, first draw three long lines: shorter, medium, and very long in length. Then add a crossbar.

Step 3 Outline the sails. Now we need to draw the contours of the sails. The sails are rectangular in shape. Begin adding two to three sails at a time from the far right of the mast. Remember to draw lightly so you can erase if needed.

Step 4 Next is the front of the vessel. Now draw the stern of the ship. The front part of the stern must be higher than the back and middle ones. Add the railing at the top of the stern.

Step 5 The mast of the sailing vessel. In this step, we will draw the mast of our sailing vessel. Erase the original contours and draw a thick mast. Darken the mast with a pencil. We will need to do the same thing with the keel.

Step 6 Finish drawing the sailboat. Let's come back to the first triangle. Divide it in half, splitting it into two sails. Draw the two sails with a little bend as if from the wind. The rest of the sails will be bent inwards.

Step 7 Shading in the sailboat. To complete our drawing of the vessel, add color to the bottom part of the stern and make it as dark as possible. Darken the upper part just a touch. Sails also need to give shade. Color the windows and add check boxes on top of each mast.

Step 8 Colour the rest of it!
