Symbolism The Farmhouse is a symbol for man and all his evils. The symbol of the Windmill ◦For Snowball- progress for the community ◦For Napoleon- Keeps the animals busy ◦For the animals- a symbol of a better life to come

Propaganda Chapter 9 Squealer spreads propaganda ◦How? The pigs show elitism because they get all the food; the young pigs go to school Boxer’s treatment is ironic. Why? He has been used all along. Boxer is a symbol for the masses (common people).

Class System Napoleon (President) establishes a class system ◦Ruling class get privileges and honors ◦The Workers- with the privilege of performing their jobs without complaint or reward.
