Identifying and exploring the traditions of the Olympic Games, including the Olympic torch, dove, flag, rings, opening and medal ceremonies. Investigating the effect of the World Wars on the Olympics, exploring the Games of 1936 in Berlin and how Hitler used the Olympics to promote his political ideas, investigating examples of boycotts and bans through the history of the Olympics. Finding out the origins of the Paralympics Games following World War 2, finding out what the Paralympics are, who takes part and what events there are. Plan and create a published document.
