UConn Health & Safety Policies University Health and Safety Policy The health and safety of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors shall be a principal consideration in the planning and conduct of all University activities and programs... UCPEA Article 38 Health and Safety Policy and EH&S Committee 38.2 Whenever possible, employees will be notified in advance that the building they are working in will be undergoing repairs, major renovations, or that a parking lot will be permanently closing. Building & Emergency Contacts (BECs) Roles and Responsibilities Notified in the event of an emergency Notified regarding disruptions of essential building services. Notified regarding construction/servicing activities that could impact occupant health and safety. Sent notices about building projects, and invitations to attend pre-construction meetings. Serve as the departmental interface with emergency personnel Communicate with building occupants about activities or events that could impact their health and safety.
