Title VII Support for PA Education

How Do Our Goals Fit with the Priorities of the Obama-Biden Administration? Administration’s goals: –stabilizing the economy –making health care affordable AAPA’s & PAEA’s goals can be addressed in the context of health care reform

What have Congress and the Administration done already? Regulatory changes –Global Gag Rule –Review of “Midnight” Regulations Children’s Health Insurance Program –Extends the program for 4 ½ years –Expands coverage to 11 million children Stimulus Package –Expands Medicaid and Cobra Coverage –Includes $500 million for training primary health care providers

“Hey, the market went up three points today, so the stimulus package is working. Yeah! It’s a miracle!”
