SMFD COMMAND POST OPERATIONS WHAT IS THE CURRENT OPERATION FOR COMMAND POST TEAMS? WHAT IS THE CURRENT OPERATION FOR COMMAND POST TEAMS? IS THERE A NEED FOR STAFF AID ASSISTANCE AT THE COMMAND POST? IF AT ALL, HOW WOULD YOU CHANGE THE RELATIONSHIP/FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMAND POST TEAM IF AT ALL, HOW WOULD YOU CHANGE THE RELATIONSHIP/FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMAND POST TEAM

COMMAND POST OPERATIONS PURPOSE ALL FIELD PERSONNEL MUST BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS NEEDED TO SET UP AND SUPPORT A COMMAND POST. HAZ MAT 4 DRIVER DESIGNATED AS THE PRIMARY COMMAND POST AID “ CHIEF OFFICERS HAVE THE ADDED RESPONSIBILITY TO ANTICIPATE AND COACH THOSE ASSISTING AT THE CP, PARTICULARLY WHEN AN INCIDENT MOVES TOWARD A WIDER RANGE OF COMPLEXITIES. THE VALUE OF AN I.C. TO PROVIDE CLEAR, CALM DIRECTION TO THE ASSISTING MEMBERS WILL ENSURE THAT THE NEEDS OF THE CP ARE SATISFIED. ”
