Report Card Types There are 3 types Competencies with Term Narratives Competencies with Competency Narratives Competencies with Specialist Narratives and Term Narratives

Competencies with Term Narratives With this type of Report Card you will need to set up 1 course and 1 Competency Group. In that Competency group you will have the 8 Competencies listed above. In each of those Competencies you will have the 2 tasks. Language Arts/ReadingT1T2T3Term 1 Teacher Comments Billy did well this term in all subjects. He works hard in and Math. He needs work on Social Studies. Read with fluencyPSS Shows reading ComprehensionPSS MATHT1T2T3 Adds up to 20PSS Subtracts double digitsPSS Social StudiesT1T2T3Term 2 Teacher Comments Billy showed improvement in all subjects this term. He continues to be a joy in class. Competencies with Specialist Narratives and Term Narratives With this type of Report card you will need to setup 5 courses and 5 Competency Groups (1 for the Core and 4 Specialty). The Core Competency Group will have the 4 Competencies listed above with the 2 tasks for each. The Specialty Competency Groups will have the 1 Competency listed above with the 2 tasks for each. Create Competencies Competencies have 3 sections. The Competency Group is usually the name of the course that the group will be assigned to. The Competency is a sub-section of the group. The Competency Tasks are the actual action the student is graded on. There can be several Competency Tasks linked to one Competency. Example: Competency Group = English Language Competency = Reading Competency Tasks = Student can read with fluency Student can identify the plot of the story Student shows comprehension of story

Tab Go to Competency Groups are school specific; make sure your default school is set before you click the Add button.

Codes, Descriptions and Display Order Code - Keep this small and easy Description – This is what prints Display Order – This is the order that will show up for the teachers to enter grades Art Group Name 1Colors Competency Code and Description Code Description Display Order 1.1 Knows colors Completes color wheel 2 2Painting 2.1 Hold brush Performs brush strokes 2

Tab The Competency Grade Table is School Specific and will need to be set up for each school. Value has to be numeric

Tab This tab allows you to set up the size of the narrative box. This is the narrative box that the teacher uses to enter the Teacher Comments and is not the set up for the size of the narrative box on the Report Card.

Set up Grade Headings Tab Grade parameters have to be set up before any grade headings can be set up.

Set up Grade Headings Tab Set up a grade heading for each term you want on the Report Card.

Set up Grade Headings Tab Assign each grade heading to the term it will be included in. Use this screen to open and close the grade headings.

Course Catalog or. Create the courses Course ID Course Name Course Short Name Assign a school. Move the courses to this years catalog

Course Catalog Edit the course detail information Course Type Major/Minor Has Meeting Time

Course Catalog. Add Competency Click on Add Check off the competencies needed for this course

Course Catalog. Add Sections Schedule Sections Click the Schedule link Select Terms Teacher Room Periods

Enroll Students into Courses Select the school year Add course ID Add Section ID Select Add

Enroll Students into Courses Search for students Homeroom Grade level Team (Cycle Cluster) Click search

Enroll Students into Courses Check off students Click submit

Teacher Enter Grades Select the school Year Select term Select Course Select Grade Heading Click search Click on a Student ID

Teacher Enter Grades Add a narrative here Add grades here
