School starts next week and Calvin meets his 4 th grade teacher Mr. Purdy who calls his class “boot camp”. Will Calvin be able to stay out of trouble and can he keep out of the way of the bully Tito Andrade??

Case of the Case of Mistaken Identity by Jacqueline Davies Reading Level AR Points GENRE - Mystery, Humor, Action and Adventure This is definitely full of action and adventure; if that is to your liking then this is the book for you! Dying to Meet You (43 Old Cemetery Road) By Kate Klise Reading Level AR Points Enter at your own risk: You might just DIE laughing. The best-selling author Ignatius B. Grumply moves into the Victorian mansion at 43 Old Cemetery Road, hoping to find some peace and quiet so that he can crack a wicked case of writer's block. But 43 Old Cemetery Road is already occupied--by an eleven-year-old boy named Seymour, his cat, Shadow, and an irritable ghost Olive C. Spence......

Top of the Order by John Coy Reading Level AR Points Jackson’s mom is dating. Gig’s dad is going to serve in the Middle East. Isaac might be going to a new school. Diego spends his spare time working. These four friends lead different lives, but on the baseball field, they’re a strong team—the top of the order. As their last year of elementary school ends, the boys want to have their best baseball season ever. But this year, they might not even have enough players to stay in the league. Then a great player volunteers to join the team. But it’s a girl! And she plays with a pink glove! Now the team is coming apart at the seams. Will this end up being the worst season ever?

How do you vote? You must read 3 of the books and take an AR test verifying that you read the book. (your teacher can also read a book to you). In March you will vote for your favorite. Mrs. Levi will send your vote into the MHL committee. On April 25 th, the anniversary of Maud’s birthday, the Minnesota winner is announced.
