Workshop Specification The aim of the workshop sessions is to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to help support and guide your students in school/college when they are considering both post-16 choices and university applications. Academics with a responsibility for admissions from the West Yorkshire universities will outline not only the qualifications, both ‘traditional’ and ‘non-traditional’, needed to access degree courses, but also the additional attributes and skills that are looked for in undergraduates gaining access to the most demanding and competitive courses. Workshops are available in the following areas: Law Medicine and Clinical Sciences Pharmacy Physiotherapy Dentistry Architecture Engineering Education and Teaching STEM related subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) In most cases workshops will be delivered by two or more colleagues from different universities so that contrasting perspectives are presented.

The School of Music University of Leeds Directions Directions to the school of music: Walking The University campus is around a 20 minute walk from Leeds city station. Come out of the station into City square; with the Queens Hotel behind you, walk straight up Park Row. Continue up Park Row until the first major junction. Cross straight over The Headrow and continue up Cookridge Street. At the next set of lights go straight on passing Millennium Square on your left and Leeds City Museum on your right. Turn left on to Woodhouse Lane, a busy main road. You'll pass Leeds Metropolitan University on your left and our University campus begins in another 50 metres or so, on your left. To reach the Parkinson building, carry on up Woodhouse Lane to the clock tower building. You'll be able to look at a map of campus there which gives details of all the buildings at the University. By Car Leeds is linked to the M1 and M62. Parking on campus is limited, and we are also committed to reducing our carbon emissions, so we encourage staff and visitors to walk or cycle where possible. Car Parking will not be available on site however there is an NCP car park located on Woodhouse Lane, approximately 5 mins walk from the University campus.
