 How I met your mother (TV series)  To Kill a Mockingbird  MANY of Edgar Allan Poe’s writings: “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Black Cat,” “Annabel Lee,” etc.

 The narrator may be of a dramatically different age than the people in the story, such as a child attempting to explain adult actions  The narrator may have prejudices about race, class or gender  The narrator may have low intelligence  The narrator may suffer from hallucinations or dementia  The narrator may have a personality flaw such as pathological lying or narcissism  The narrator may be trying to make a point that is contrary to the actions of the story or be attempting to libel one of the characters due to a grudge

#76 Early Thoughts on Book Talk It is less than 1 month away... How is your reading progress? What project are you thinking about doing? Whole class or small group report? How can you use the next 4 weeks to be ready??? When you get done... READ!!!!! Turn in your notebook on the way out the door!!!!!!!

Daily Participation Points: 5- BYOB!! Read the whole time. Engaged! 4- Read the majority of the time. Tried! 3-Read some of the time had to be reminded. Floundered! 1-No reading, sleeping, off task. Struggled!

 Select a NEW book that you have NEVER read before  Books w/ movies are okay... You can even see the movie!!!... But you also need to read the book.  At least 200 pages, probably more, and appropriate for your reading level  You are looking for a FICTION book, or a non-fiction biography... Not a textbook, not a topic (“auto mechanics”)... You will need to discuss STORY STRUCTURE and CHARACTER.  If you finish this book before the end of the quarter, you will select another book and KEEP READING  There WILL be a book talk (slightly diff)... We’ll discuss later.
