WIGOS –planned activities for Further engagement of Task team for Region WIGOS Implementation Plan updation; Implement the RA II Pilot Project to enhance the availability and quality management support for NMHSs in surface, climate and upper-air observations; Implement the Pilot Project to enhance the availability and quality management support for NMHSs; Organize RIC training workshops to ensure the accuracy of the instruments they use Continue implementation of the RA II Pilot Project to develop support for NMHSs in satellite data, products and training; Develop integrated weather radar product for severe weather monitoring at the sub- regional level; Develop integrated surface-based and space-based operational products

WIS planned activities for Mobilize experts of “Local Secondment” for updating of Regional WIS Implementation Plan; (b) Continue identification of WIS requirements of Members; (c) Organize training, WIS experts' visit for WIS implementation. Demonstrate capabilities of GISCs and DCPCs; (b) Produce regional information documents on WIS; (c) Organize a regional and national workshop for potential DCPCs and NCs. (d)Encourage the migration from analogue to digital circuits in the Middle-East and Central Asia;

Proposal from RA II WGs In order to implement pre-operation of WIGOS from 2016 to 2019, two task teams are suggested to be established, which are Task Team for Regional Basic Observing Network in Region II (TT-RBON-II) and Task Team for Pre-operation of WIGOS in region II (TT- PWIGOS-II).
