You must achieve a 70% or higher to meet grade level standards. GRADE TYPEINCLUDES THE FOLLOWING WORK % OF FINAL GRADE Quizzes, Tests, Benchmarks Unit Quizzes, Unit Tests and Benchmark Exams, Projects40% Labs 10% Cornell Notes & Notebook Notebook & Cornell Notes10% Homework and Classwork Homework & Classwork10% Study Guides Completion of the unit and finals study guide (no credit for partial completion)10% Semester Final 1 st and 2 nd Semester Finals10% Citizenship & Participation Class Participation and Citizenship10%

Work not turned in on time WILL affect your grade. Regular practice will improve your performance on tests and quizzes. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! YOU HAVE TO STUDY to pass this class!

It is each student’s responsibility to determine if they missed any assignments (homework, classwork, tests or labs) in the event of an absence. Missing assignments may be turned in only until the end of the grading period in which they were assigned. Assignments not turned in by the end of the grading period will be assigned a grade of “0”.

Late work, not attributable to an excused absence, will NOT be accepted.

Generally NOT offered! If you are Completing assigned work, studying for tests and asking for help, you will pass the class. Bathroom passes not used during the semester can be turned in for extra credit.

District dress code will be enforced. Nothing too short or sagging. No spaghetti straps. Only GHHS approved hats. Must be bought on campus. No piercings. No gang-related apparel. You will be sent to the office for a DC!

You will receive 6 bathroom passes each semester. They are to be used anytime you leave the room during class (unless a pass has been sent by Administration or Guidance). Any unused passes at the end of the semester may be turned in for extra credit.
