What is a physical property? A physical property is a characteristics that can be observed or measured without changing the sample’s composition.

Examples of physical properties are: Color Smell Freezing point Boiling point Melting point Density

What are physical changes? Physical changes are concerned with energy and states of matter. A physical change does not produce a new substance. Examples of physical changes include crushing a can, melting an ice cube, and breaking a bottle.

Chemical change is any change that results in the formation of new chemical substances. However, Physical change rearranges molecules but doesn't affect their internal structures.

Example of Physical Changes crumpling a sheet of paper

Another example of physical change Mixing juice and water together

Example of a chemical change Burning wood

Another example of a chemical change Mixing a vinegar with baking soda
