Thank You: Harvest House in Burleson was in desperate need of food; their pantry is EMPTY. They provide services in Tarrant County and Johnson communities all year long. We as a organization raised boxes and boxes of non-perishable food items (cans, cereals, rice, etc.) Today is the last day to donate and drawing will happen on the 1 st of October.
Tarrant County Homeless Coalition unaccompanied youth subcommittee They want to create a social media resource for unaccompanied, homeless youth through something like a Facebook page, Twitter account, etc. They would like us to help us gather information on resources available, compile and organize it, disseminate it through social media (e.g., create Facebook page), and then update the account/page.
Never Too Late: We were invited to present a Poster Board Presentation focusing on our chapter’s community service project(s). The Poster Board Presentation will be held at the Phi Alpha International Meeting in conjunction with CSWE-APM in Dallas Texas Friday, November 1st at 6:30 pm at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. This is an excellent opportunity for your students to present at a National Conference and network with fellow Phi Alpha members. The brief Poster Board outline is to be ed on or before October 1st
