Format disks Create Start - Disk with Win98 - Systemsteuerung/Software/Startdiskette - follow orders. - The boot disk boots in MSDOS and should have IO.sys, MSDOS.sys Autoxec.bat,...and in our case Fdisk

Preparation 1/2 - go into the BIOS and switch of the Virus Protection. - start the PC with the bootdisk - type the command fdisk and press enter - delete the current partition by pressing the neccesary keys - create new partition with the size: 4 GB system partition 15 GB data partition

Preparation 2/2 - Reboot the pc - format both harddisk partitions - reboot and go into BIOS and change boot sequence to CD-ROM first. - reboot and wait until installation prompts to press key to start from CD-ROM.

Text based setup 1/2 - select „to setup windows 2000 now press enter“ - press enter - license agreement: press F8 to agree - select harddisk drive - delete Fat 32 because we want to use another file system - press d to select deletion - press L to confirm delete

Text based setup 2/2 - select „ to setup Windows 2000 on the selectet item press enter „ - press enter - format the partition using NTFS filesystem - confirm with enter - setup copys the windows 2000 installation folders and files - reboot

Graphical based setup 1/2 - click next to continue -> installing devices - regional settings - select desired country - personalize your software - enter product key - enter computer name - time and date settings

Graphical based setup 2/2 - enter current time zone, date and time - network settings -> performing final tasks - click „finish“ -> connection to network - identify computer in network - click „next“

Configuring the installed OS 1/2 -> you see the desktop - run the network identiyfication wizzard ->group: „tit´n´tm“ - reboot - install network card drivers - for d-link 530 series pci NIC - configuring the LAN settings

Configuring the installed OS 1/2 - run the connect to internet wizzard - check connection it works
