Infinite Campus Training Teachers will demonstrate working knowledge of Infinite Campus by preparing their grade book for the academic year in an Infinite Campus Sandbox.

Demonstration of Infinite Campus – Getting Started For Macintosh Users: SAFARI is the recommended browser. Firefox is the backup. For PC users: Internet Explorer is the recommended browser. Firefox is the backup.

Logon Use your network ID as the username A “strong” password is required

Assignments – Copy Assignments This feature allows you to copy assignments from the source section to the destination section. Assignments and Categories created in the sections can be copied to other sections.

Assignments – View Tree View Tree allows you to see an outline view of categories and assignments.

Assignments- Filters Filters provide the opportunity to sort assignments by: Terms Category Student Groups

Student Groups - Overview Student Groups Allows users to place students in a course section in more than one group. Allows multiple teachers in a section to create groups Allows teachers to attach a group to an assignment

Creating Student Groups Click Index > Instruction > Student Groups and click New. Enter a *Name for your group and click Save. Any active team is available for use in Grade Book and the Assignments tab.

Creating Student Groups Click-hold-drag the students from the Roster column on the left to the Student Group Members column on the right.

Creating Student Groups Once the group is completed, click Save.

Student Groups- Membership After student groups are created you will have a list of students and their active membership. NOTE: Students can be members in one or more groups or no groups.

Student Groups- Assignment Should a student change groups the assignments will follow that student according to the date it is created. Once a student group has been created go to Create Assignment and select a group from the Student Group drop down menu.

The Grade Book - Groups As mentioned earlier, once you create groups, they are available for use in several places including Grade Book. Student Groups will always default to All Students in the course roster. Note: If you have not created any groups, student groups will not show up in the Grade Book.

Grade Book - Groups Selecting another Student Group (Blue Team) gives you the ability to view the assignments for just those in that are members of the group
