Other Noteworthy Items Driver Training Program focusing on Anti- Bullying Efforts RCPS Transportation Ranked #98 School Bus Fleet in the Nation according to School Bus Fleet Magazine Continued focus on Driver Recruitment, Retention, and Employee Recognition… Technology Initiatives such as eLink, TripTracker, and Stop Arm Cameras Application for $125,00 in EPA Grant Funding

Safety is our Mission All Vehicles Transporting Students continue to go through a complete 30 day Inspection Driver Training Initiatives to highlight the dangers of complacency Complete Seat Repair on all 263 school buses in our fleet to maintain the integrity of “Compartmentatlization” Continued training for Technicians, Routers, and Office Staff

Compartmentalization This is unsafe. All students need to remain in the seat compartment. This is proper compartmentalization.

Is this safe for our students? "In compartmentalization the crash forces are absorbed by the vehicle structure which is designed to protect the occupant," said Charles Hott. NHTSA's school bus specifications engineer. "In an occupant restraint system in general passenger vehicles the crash forces are absorbed by the body of the occupant."

School Bus Transportation Facts 1% of Student Fatalities are School Bus Related School Bus Transportation accounts for 25% of student related travel but accounts for less than 4% of injuries School Buses Save Our Economy 2.3 billion gallons of fuel each year School Bus Transportation Saves the Average Family $ annually which equates to $10.9 billion dollars nationwide.
