Simple Verb Tenses There are three simple verb tenses: – Present Tense Action is happening NOW Ex. I walk. EX. They walk. – EX. John walks up to me. Add -S – Past Tense Action already happened in the PAST – EX. John walked up to me. Add -ed – Future Tense Action will happen in the FUTURE – EX. John will walk up to me. Add will or shall before the verb.
