Evolution The Indus Valley Civilization ruins were discovered in the year 1856 by some railway workers. This civilization flourished for about a thousand years. It is rightly called an urban civilization too because of its underground drainage system and town planning. Trade was done through Barter System. Men n Women were both fond of jewellery made of shells, gold, silver n ivory.

Fall of the civilization The civilization came to an end in the year 1500 BCE. Nobody knows the real reason for its perish but archeologists associate it with invasions by Aryans or natural calamities like floods, earthquakes etc.
