Introduction PC with Software NVR The main components of PC and the factors when choosing a PC Dual streaming Standalone NVR

Computer with Software NVR PC Software NVR Internet

Computer What are computer’s main jobs? Software NVR Compressed video stream Storage Live preview Playback 1.Receive the compressed video streams from cameras. 2.Decompress the video streams from each camera for live viewing. 3.Store the compressed video streams on a hard drive. 4.Decompress the video streams from hard drive for playback. Decompress video stream Major PC Loading Caused

The influence of Computer over-loading for live view Original View Latency Computer Live View Computer can’t decompress the second and third image because computer is over-loaded and still processing the first image.

PC The main components in decompressing a video stream CPU RAM 1.CPU: Central Processing Unit, like the brain of human, handle any process of computer. 2.RAM: Random Access Memory, allow to store data temporarily for CPU processing order in any tasks.

The factors of video influencing the choice of computer PC (NVR Server) …. Compressed Video stream Multi-channels for live view / playback The number of cameras we would like to view simultaneously (Live View)? Decompress

Use Dual Stream to reduce PC loading for live view Due to the size of the layout for live viewing (up to 32 or 64 channels), a lower resolution setting (ex: VGA) fits the requirements for the application. We can then implement “Dual Stream”: small resolution for live view and maximum resolution for recording at the same time. Small scale VGA resolution

Dual Stream The camera can send out two streams to NVR, one stream would be used for recording purposes while the other stream would be strictly for live viewing. Stream 1: set at maximum resolution and quality using H.264 that will be directly stored on the server, without requiring much CPU power. Media 2: set at MJPEG in VGA resolution as a source for live view and saving bandwidth from NVR server to workstation. Stored video requires a higher image quality due to it’s importance – should any details be missed during live preview, they can easily be found during high quality playback. NVR Server Media 1 (maximum resolution/H.264) Media 2 (VGA resolution/MJPEG) Storage Live view NVR Workstation Saving bandwidth Reduce CPU loading for decompression. Multi-channel live view is working smoothly quality video is stored for future playback

How to choose computer specifications? How to install software NVR? Standalone NVR Simple and Easy All in One Box. Just need to connect to Internet Friendly user interface

The benefit of Standalone NVR Easy to install. Easy to manage. Reduction in compatibility issues with Windows O.S. Single contact window for better post sales service. Internet Remote Client
