Environmental Protection Policy of the Polish Ministry of Defense adopted by the Minister It covers the main goals and tasks connected with environmental protection in current operations of the Polish Ministry of Defense. Main tasks for the Armed Forces resulting from the “Defence sector policy for the environment protection” Taking into account the necessity of observing environment protection requirements during exercises and training; Shaping the defence infrastructure and the military industry with taking into consideration local requirements on environment protection in co-operation with organs of state administration and local authorities organs; Executing supervision during operational and mobilization planning, maintaining combat mobilization readiness and training providing as well as during current activities of Polish Armed Forces in accordance with environmental law. Implementation of obligations resulting from international agreements including the rules of environmental protection during training, stay and passage of the foreign troops. Shaping cultural and educational activities throughout specifying the issues of shaping and protection of the environment as well as respect for nature and cultural heritage;

Main tasks for the Armed Forces resulting from the “Defence sector policy for the environment protection” Participating in research and development works concerning the military equipment, taking into account the requirements of environment protection; Establishing specific rules for introduction, use and withdrawal armament and military equipment including the range of environment protection requirements; Maintaining the technical equipment according to requirements specified within the acts; Undertaking actions within energy saving, minimising of emission as well as other forms of negative influence on the environment; Comply with requirements of maritime environment protection in accordance with national and international law; Management of business activity within the Defence Sector;
