Laura Deleruyelle: Dealing with Cancer

Laura Deleruyelle is a nurse who holds an advanced degree. She is an avid supporter of cancer research and works with patients who are battling cancer. Cancer treatments date back to the Greek physician Hippocrates. His writings describe different types of cancer. He studied external tumors, and advised other physicians on how to treat them. Their treatment methods did not help cure cancer though, it was not until the 19th century discovery of cancer cells that physicians could begin developing treatments. Laura Deleruyelle educates her patients about cancer research.

Cancer is still a mysterious disease. Modern medicine does offer various treatment methods, these methods, however, often have harsh side effects that leave a patient feeling weak, ill, and in pain. Laura Deleruyelle, and other nurses, help their patients deal with these side effects or find alternative treatments with less adverse side effects. Laura Deleruyelle supports cancer research that could one day discover a better treatment option than what oncologists currently use.

There are many different treatment methods for cancer. The treatment is based on the type of cancer a patient has and how quickly it progresses. Nurses, such as Laura Deleruyelle, have an education that allows them to explain to patients what the different treatment methods are and how they will affect their body. Laura Deleruyelle understands that cancer is a complex illness. It can be caused by external factors as well as internal factors. Depending on the type of cancer and what the cause of the cancer was, it can be difficult to treat.

Laura Deleruyelle is always willing to educate her patients on different cancer treatments. She has information on chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, stem cell transplants, and many more types of treatments. Laura Deleruyelle understands that cancer can be devastating, both physically and mentally. She is always there to help her patients deal with cancer treatment side effects. She can also help them understand what is happening inside of their body and how to cope with this disease.
