Q5. Precipitation details of this climate. Q6. Three vegetation types. Q7. Three short details on how the vegetation adapts to this climate. Q8. Name any three human activities linked with this climate.

Chapter 19 main details Q1. Name of the climate type The climate we studied is the Mediterranean climate which is a warm temperate climate. Q2. Location of this climate The Mediterranean climate can be found 30-40° north/south of the equator or on the western side of landmasses. Q3. Name three countries with this climate type around the Mediterranean. Three countries with the Mediterranean climate are Italy, North Egypt and Cyprus. Q4. Temperature details of this climate. The Mediterranean climate ranges from 8° to 30°C with a temperature range of 22°C.

Q5. Precipitation details of this climate. July receives no rainfall which the wettest month is December with 75mm of rain. In total 400mm of rain falls in these climate areas. Q6. Three vegetation types. Three vegetation types are Cork Oak trees, Lavender and Rosemary. Q7. Three short details on how the vegetation adapts to this climate. Vegetation adapts by having a waxy coating on leaves and thorns, thick barks and long tap roots. Q8. Name any three human activities linked with this climate. Human activities include tourism, agricultural crops such as olives and grapes and industry such as olive oil making.
