11 Rane Madras Limited – Hydraulic New Business  Background: Market leader in Manual Steering Gear Products and Steering Linkages for the Farm Tractor Segment  Opportunity anticipated: Application of Power steering gear in Farm Tractor segment would have huge business potential, hence started Hydrostatic steering unit (power steering) for Farm Tractors in its product portfolio.  Strategy executed: –RML started business with smaller Tractor manufacturers and is now on the verge of getting entry into high volume manufacturers. –Also started developing the Hydraulic Cylinder for Farm Tractors, which provided opportunity for RML to supply Hydrostatic steering gear, Cylinders, Column and reservoir as a system to the OEMs.  Key Customers: Ashok Leyland, Asia Motor Works, VECV, Volvo (China, Thailand and India)  Background: Market leader in Manual Steering Gear Products and Steering Linkages for the Farm Tractor Segment  Opportunity anticipated: Application of Power steering gear in Farm Tractor segment would have huge business potential, hence started Hydrostatic steering unit (power steering) for Farm Tractors in its product portfolio.  Strategy executed: –RML started business with smaller Tractor manufacturers and is now on the verge of getting entry into high volume manufacturers. –Also started developing the Hydraulic Cylinder for Farm Tractors, which provided opportunity for RML to supply Hydrostatic steering gear, Cylinders, Column and reservoir as a system to the OEMs.  Key Customers: Ashok Leyland, Asia Motor Works, VECV, Volvo (China, Thailand and India) A world class manufacturing facility is being set up at Mysore which would increase our Hydraulic business sales by six times by next 3 years
