2. The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 46 feet. The length of the garden is 5 feet less than three times the width. Find the length of the garden. Answer : The Length of the garden is 16 feet P = 2l + 2w = 46 L = 3w -5

3. Jill collects nickels and quarters. Her bank now holds 30 coins amounting to $5.10. How many quarters does she have? Answer : She has 18 quarters N + Q = 30.05N +.25Q = 5.10

4. Adult tickets to a basketball game cost $5 and student tickets cost $3. In all, 90 tickets were sold for a total of $334. How many adult tickets were sold? Answer : There were 32 adult tickets sold 5A + 3S = 334 A + S = 90

5. Jason bought a total 7 postcards for $1.80. If small postcards cost 20 cents and the large ones cost 30 cents each, how many postcards did he buy of each size? Answer : He bought 4 large postcards and 3 small postcards S + L = 7.20S +.30L = 1.80
