Nominations Open: Wednesday, July 15, 2015 Nominations Close: Friday, August 7, 2015 at 6 p.m. (Note: If an incumbent elective officer does not file within the nomination period, the filing period for that office only is extended five days to 6:00 p.m., August 12, 2015.)

Legal resident and elector of the City for at least 30 consecutive days prior to filing nomination papers. City Treasurer Legal resident of the City for at least 30 consecutive days prior to filing nomination papers. Registered voter.

Before you start campaigning FPPC Form 501 (Candidate Intention Form) Complete, sign and return to City Clerk FPPC Form 410 (Statement of Organization)* Complete, sign and mail original to Secretary of State with a copy to the City Clerk * required if candidate receives $1,000 or more WARNING: If you are handing out campaign literature or soliciting donations and these forms are not yet filed, you may be breaking state election law and you will be reported to the Fair Political Practices Commission.

Political Signs (SBMC Title 16) Municipal Code limits the size in residential areas to 16- square feet, and in Commercial areas to 32-square feet Consent of the property owner is required prior to posting of signs; however, the City will not require a list of locations where political signs are intended to be posted Signs shall not be stapled or affixed to any public utility pole Signs are not permitted in any public right-of-way, parkway, or on publically owned or maintained land
