To Kill A Mockingbird Characters Mrs. Bria 2016

Scout (Jean Louise Finch): narrator and main character who begins her story at six yrs old. Jem (Jeremy Finch): Scout’s older brother, 10 yrs old. Dill (Charles Baker Harris): Friend to the Finch children, little older than Scout, short for age, spends summers with his aunt; lives next door. Atticus Finch: Father; a lawyer and morally upright man.

Calpurnia: a black woman who is the Finch family’s cook and housekeeper. She is a mother figure in Scout’s life. Aunt Alexandra: Atticus’ sister; strict, traditional ideas of how society works & a Southern woman’s role. Boo Radley: a recluse who never emerges from his house. Town has developed a myth that he is an insane monster. Tom Robinson: a black man falsely accused of assaulting Mayella Ewell. Atticus is his lawyer.

Maudie Atkinson: kind neighbor and friend of Scout’s; she lets the kids play in her yard. Bob Ewell: evil, ignorant man. Father to Mayella. Doesn’t like the Finch’s and drinks heavily. Mayella Ewell: oldest of Ewell children. Lonely, despised by whites, prohibited from befriending blacks. Breaks social taboo by seducing Tom.
