INTRODUCTION EDU 620 BY JAZZMIL RODRIGUEZ APRIL 9 TH, 2014

MY SPECIALIZATION Family and Community Services I am currently a Social Worker for Head Start in Orlando, FL. I hope to obtain my MA in Education with a specialization in Family and Community Services so that I could expand my knowledge in the social work & human services field and apply it towards a school setting.

GOALS & CONSIDERATIONS My goal for using my earned master’s degree and the level of experience I have pertaining to education would be to work to aid children and their families in the school setting who are in need of services dealing with homelessness, displacement, abuse, learning disabilities, health and advocacy, etc. By helping to provide the needed services that are in the way of the family embracing all that school and education has to offer. With the help of the use of technology and connections to area resources. How will your mastery of each CLO make you marketable in the profession or position you are pursuing? – I believe that technology and assessments of learning and data are a major section in the 21 st Century skills and mastering the courses CLO will make me more valuable and efficient in this field, and versatile to the many changes that happen in all work areas no matter the change. How might it make you more effective in your practice? – This will make me more effective in my practice by allowing me to have the knowledge and skills set that work with the use of technology and the use of assessments in data driven results and monitoring.. These skills will provide easier transition to formulating more efficient tools in learning field and discontinuing the tools that are no longer working.

CONSIDERATIONS CONTINUED… What role will you select when preparing this project (educator or community center representative)? I know my choice will be Community Center Representative. What about this project is exciting to you? I enjoy the planning aspect of it and providing the samples and evidence of the benefits of the proposed technological upgrades. What concerns you and why? Currently noting concerns me at this moment. How might your participation in this project further support what you will be learning about technology integration and potentially add to your professional knowledge and/or skill? I believe the knowledge that comes with this presentation and all it takes to set up is life lasting. It will give me an opportunity to become familiar with event such as!
