SCENE 6: SOME NOBLEMEN ARE TALKING…THE COUNTRY ISN’T SUPER HAPPY WITH MACBETH’S LEADERSHIP…AND THERE’S A RUMOR THAT MACDUFF IS GOING TO ENGLAND TO TRY TO TRACK DOWN DUNCAN’S SON MALCOLM…

ACT 4 SCENE 1: MACBETH VISITS THE WITCHES AND ASKS FOR MORE INFORMATION. THEY TELL HIM: 1. BEWARE MACDUFF 2. NO MAN OF WOMAN BORN CAN HARM MACBETH 3. MACBETH WILL NEVER BE VANQUISHED UNTIL THE WOODS MARCH ON THE CASTLE

SCENE 2: MACDUFF’S WIFE AND CHILDREN ARE MURDERED WHILE MACDUFF IS IN ENGLAND

SCENE 3: MACDUFF AND MALCOLM TALK. A) MALCOLM TESTS MACDUFF TO SEE IF MACDUFF IS LOYAL TO SCOTLAND OR LOYAL TO MACBETH B) MALCOLM AGREES TO COME BACK TO SCOTLAND AND OVERTHROW MACBETH

MACDUFF FINDS OUT THAT HIS ENTIRE FAMILY HAS BEEN MURDERED MALCOLM TELLS HIM TO FOCUS HIS RAGE AND TAKE REVENGE ON MACBETH

ACT 5 SCENE 1: LADY MACBETH HAS BEEN SLEEPWALKING, TRYING TO WASH THE “BLOOD” OFF HER HANDS, AND BASICALLY TALKING IN HER SLEEP, REVEALING EVERYTHING THEY’VE DONE

A SERVANT REPORTS TO MACBETH THAT THE ENTIRE WOODS LOOKS LIKE IT IS MOVING UP THE HILL TOWARD THE CASTLE. (MALCOLM AND HIS ARMY CUT DOWN BRANCHES AS CAMOUFLAGE)

LADY MACBETH KILLS HERSELF. MACBETH SAYS, “SHE SHOULD HAVE DIED HEREAFTER… ALL OUR YESTERDAYS HAVE LIGHTED FOOLS THE WAY TO DUSTY DEATH. LIFE’S BUT A WALKING SHADOW, A POOR PLAYER THAT STRUTS AND FRETS HIS HOUR UPON THE STAGE AND THEN IS HEARD NO MORE. IT IS A TALE, TOLD BY AN IDIOT, FULL OF SOUND AND FURY, SIGNIFYING NOTHING.”

MACDUFF SHOWS UP. MACBETH SAYS HE’S NOT AFRAID, SINCE NO MAN BORN OF A WOMAN CAN HARM HIM. MACDUFF SAYS HE WAS “FROM HIS MOTHER’S WOMB UNTIMELY RIPPED.”

MACDUFF KILLS MACBETH, BEHEADS HIM, AND GIVES THE HEAD TO MALCOLM. MALCOLM IS CROWNED KING. MALCOLM MAKES ALL OF THE NOBLEMEN “EARLS” ~THE END~
