Category ESP Courses Traditional Courses Setting A free, flexible setting, and seatingThe traditional individual seats Members Small groupsIndividuals Learning Style Student-centered and project- based Teacher-centered and textbook- based Teaching Methods Both teacher and students learn together. Teachers become consultants and advisors Teachers dominate the class. Students learn from teachers and text books. Working Style Students learn to trust group members, having more responsibilities towards learning and grading. Students learn to trust themselves only. Individualism is highly practiced. In- Class Management Both teachers and students are responsiblable for anything that happened in-class. Usually, only teachers are responsible for any in-class issues, problems, or answers. Grading System Group points and individual grades are all very important. Students only need to worry about their own grades. 7 The ESP Learning Method vs. The Traditional Learning method

The teacher needs to give students a helpful and clear guidance and motivates the students into their topics. (This is very important) 8
