Example: Rahim, Chittagong, Dhaka etc. A noun is a word which denotes the name of a person, thing, place, quality, condition etc. OR noun is the name of anything.

Classifications Of Noun Collective noun (class, army, team) Common noun (cow, city, girl, poet) Abstract noun (honesty, kindness) Material noun (Gold, Water, Milk) Proper noun (Khulna, Jashim, the Meghna) Look At The Diagram:

Proper noun: A proper noun is the name of a particular person, place, thing or event distinct from each other. Example: Karim is a good boy, Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. Common noun: A common noun is the name given in common to every person or thing of the same class or kind. Example: Rita is a good girl, The cow is a domestic animal.

Collective noun: A collective noun is the name of a group or a collection of similar persons or things considered as one undivided whole. Example: our team has won the match, A crowd of people is making a noise. Material noun: A material noun is the name of a material or substance which can not be counted but weighed. Example: the gold of Australlia is pure, The water of the Burigonga is dirty

Abstract noun: A abstract noun is usually the name of quality, action or state considered a part from the object to which it belongs. Example: Freedom is man’s birth right, Honesty is the best policy.
