 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ◦ responsibilities of Corporate world towards the society. ◦ many big entities actively engaged in the CSR activities but the number is relatively less. ◦ Around Rs crores will be ploughed in the CSR activities by the corporates covered under the CSR activities. ◦ Around 6500 companies will come under the purview to comply with the CSR activities. CSR means and includes but not limited to: Projects or Programs relating to activities specified in Schedule VII to the act; or Projects or Programs relating to activities undertaken by the board of directors of a company (Board) in pursuance of recommendation of the CSR Committee of the Board as per declared CSR Policy of the company subject to the condition that such policy will cover subjects enumerated in Schedule VII of the act. 6/13/2016 CS PRANAV KUMAR,
