 Examples of Noun //ism:  I went to the grocery for bread, milk, and eggs.  My decisions were based on love, education, and health.  I would have never joined the Navy if it weren’t for aliens, Mother Theresa, and the Lockness Monster. NOUN //ISM

 I joined the Navy because of the education, family, and to travel the world.  Education & family = nouns  To travel the world = different  I joined the Navy because of the education, family, and travel opportunities. NOUN //ISM – WHICH ONE IS DIFFERENT?

 I recommend exercises such as running, biking, and swimming.  Verb tense –ing / all the same  I joined to escape my environment, obtain a college education, and inspire my siblings.  Escape, obtain, and inspire – infinitives of verbs EXAMPLES OF VERB PARALLELISM

 //ism can be in the front or the back  Obtaining a college education, traveling the world, and starting my adult life were the reasons I joined the Navy.  I joined the Navy to obtain a college education, travel the world, and start my adult life. EXAMPLES OF VERB PARALLELISM

After high school I  attended college,  worked full time  along with took care of my grandma. How can we fix? WHICH ONE IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS?

 Exercise helps people maintain healthy bodies and handle mental pressure.  What is //? Verbs and nouns = phrase  Obtaining a college education, traveling the world, and starting my adult life were the reasons I joined the Navy. // PHRASES

 I joined the Navy to serve my country, grow as a person, and to receive the Montgomery G.I. Bill.  What is repeated? To + verb  To serve, to grow, and to receive  Either add the preposition or take all the “to” out. // PHRASES – WHAT IS DIFFERENT?

Both are correct; one is just more wordy  I joined the Navy to serve my country, to grow as a person, and to receive the Montgomery G.I. Bill.  I joined the Navy to serve my country, grow as a person, and receive the MGI Bill. // PHRASES

I joined the Navy  to become eligible for the educational benefits,  because of finances,  and for someone else. All of them are different. Make them //. // PHRASES – WHAT IS DIFFERENT?

What attracted me to the Navy was not so much my family history but  the benefits, (noun)  traveling, and (verb)  the simple fact to explore different and new experiences away from home.(phrase) WHICH ONE IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS?

I joined the Navy  to achieve independence,  an undying passion for history,  and to broaden my desire to explore society. CORRECT THE //ISM

After exploring various options, I determined that the military matched my needs by offering free education, healthcare, and simultaneously providing a sense of job security. CORRECT THE //ISM
