Fire and Police responded to the scene and some of them became contaminated rescuing individuals from the crashes. –Patients are transported to the nearest hospitals by EMS and some subsequently reported to other hospitals on a walk-in basis The numbers eventually overwhelmed the nearest Atlanta Metro Hospitals and additional injured had to be rerouted to mutual aid facilities. –Unique modeling of hospital specific conditions
